As I pulled into the winding roads of Eagle Ridge Resort, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the breathtaking natural beauty surrounding me. The rolling hills, lush greenery, and the faint aroma of freshly-cut grass immediately set the stage for an unforgettable family adventure. My family and I had come to Eagle Ridge seeking an escape from the monotony of everyday life, and boy, did we find it. From the moment we stepped into our spacious vacation home, complete with a pool table and stunning views, I knew this was going to be a trip to remember. [2] The kids were thrilled to discover their own private quarters, while my husband and I reveled in the luxurious master suite – complete with a Jacuzzi tub that quickly became our own personal oasis.
Endless Activities for All Ages

We started our adventure by lacing up our skates and hitting the ice at the Nordic Center. The kids were like little penguins, wobbling and giggling as they took their first tentative steps, while my husband and I glided across the rink, channeling our inner Olympic figure skaters (or at least, that’s how we saw it). [2] After working up an appetite, we refueled with some delicious woodfired pizza from the Woodlands Lounge, savoring every bite from the comfort of our cozy vacation home.
But the fun didn’t stop there. The next day, we ventured out to explore the resort’s extensive network of hiking trails, each one more scenic than the last. [1] As we meandered through the lush forests and alongside babbling brooks, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder and connection with the natural world around us. And just when we thought we had seen it all, we stumbled upon a hidden gem – Thunder Bay Falls, a picturesque waterfall that left us in awe. [6]
A Pampering Escape
Of course, no family getaway would be complete without a little pampering, and Eagle Ridge delivered in spades. [4] Leaving the kids in the capable hands of the resort’s recreation staff, my husband and I snuck away to the Stonedrift Spa for some much-needed self-care. As I sank into the plush massage table, the stresses of everyday life melted away, replaced by a sense of pure bliss.
The highlight of my spa experience was the Biodynamic Lunar Glow Facial, a unique treatment that celebrated the resort’s designation as a Dark Sky region. Dining Delights
No trip to Eagle Ridge would be complete without indulging in the resort’s exceptional dining options. From the mouthwatering Prime Rib at the Woodlands Restaurant to the delectable cheese curds and jumbo shrimp at the Woodlands Lounge, every bite was a culinary delight. But the true piece de resistance was the pizza we ordered to enjoy in the comfort of our vacation home. As we gathered around the table, sharing stories and laughter, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pure contentment. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we headed back out to the Nordic Center, this time with a different goal in mind – stargazing. Bundled up against the crisp night air, we laid back and gazed upwards, marveling at the sheer number of stars that dotted the inky black sky. It was a moment of pure serenity, a chance to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and simply bask in the beauty of the natural world. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for this incredible opportunity, and I knew that this memory would be one that my family would cherish for years to come.

As we reluctantly packed our bags and headed back home, I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of sadness. The time we had spent at Eagle Ridge had flown by in the blink of an eye, but the memories we had made would last a lifetime.
